Joe Quinones reimagines issue 10 of the 2012 Captain Marvel series to pay awesome tribute to Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers.
Joe Quinones is known for his artwork on Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man, Howard the Duck, and America. Back in 2012, he also worked on Captain Marvel, written by Kelly Sue DeConnick. Now that Captain Marvel is headlining her own solo movie next year, Quinones has decided to pay tribute to the anticipated film with an awesome piece of art.
The artist took to Twitter to post the images, which reimagine the cover of issue 10 of Captain Marvel. Quinones drew the cover back in 2012 and thanks to his new revamp, fans can now see the cover imagined with Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers. Check out the awesome artwork below.
Captain Marvel has had many different designs over the years and the film looks to be capturing as many as possible. The trailer showed her in the classic blue, red and gold armor, as well as her in the green Kree uniform, and we even got a glimpse of her with her iconic mohawk and helmet. Coincidentally enough, the original version of Quinones’ issue 10 cover featured Danvers rocking the mohawk.
