Did ‘Captain Marvel’ Directors Hint At Tony Stark Appearance?

It seems that we could be in store for more younger versions of the Avengers as the directors of Captain Marvel may have hinted at an appearance by a young Tony Stark.

During a recent interview with Fandango, the directors were asked if any scenes would be taking place during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Director Anna Boden insisted that it was a film that took place in the 90s with a 90s version of Nick Fury:

All we can say is this is a ’90s film, a ’90s period film. Where Sam Jackson is a younger version of Nick Fury.

But then co-director Ryan Fleck mentioned Tony Stark, seemingly out of nowhere:

And Tony Stark hasn’t figured out how to become Iron Man yet, so …

Before he could continue, Anna Boden stated that this was all they could say:

That’s all we can say.

From the look of things, these two directors may have a few more cameos in store for us.
