During a recent interview with Fandango, the directors were asked if any scenes would be taking place during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Director Anna Boden insisted that it was a film that took place in the 90s with a 90s version of Nick Fury:
All we can say is this is a ’90s film, a ’90s period film. Where Sam Jackson is a younger version of Nick Fury.
But then co-director Ryan Fleck mentioned Tony Stark, seemingly out of nowhere:
And Tony Stark hasn’t figured out how to become Iron Man yet, so …
Before he could continue, Anna Boden stated that this was all they could say:
That’s all we can say.
From the look of things, these two directors may have a few more cameos in store for us.
