A tweet posted by @CullyHammer asked if a member of the Carol Corps was present at Warren’s announcement. It was then shared by Captain Marvel writer Kelly Sue DeConnick with a reply to Hammer’s question.
Take a look at what DeConnick had to say below!
DeConnick who wrote for the comic book version of Captain Marvel and not the movie served as a consultant on the Marvel project. This granted her the opportunity to meet the living embodiment of her character Carol Danvers played by the talented Brie Larson.
It should not be a surprise to see Captain Marvel merchandise at the big announcement because the heroine represents more than just a hero. She has become a symbol of woman empowerment and the film’s tagline Higher, Further, Faster fits perfectly with the event.
