New Featurette Offers BTS Look At ‘Captain Marvel’

The next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe hits theaters in a few, short months and features the studio’s first-ever female superhero lead. Marvel and Disney recently kicked the marketing for Captain Marvel into high-gear with the release of a new poster, another new trailer, as well as a new behind-the-scenes featurette.

The featurette largely focuses on Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. In addition to some old footage from previous trailers, the featurette offers some BTS looks at some of Larson’s strenuous pre-production workouts in addition to some airbase videos in which the Oscar-winner flips some G’s in an actual jet plane.

In an interview, Larson also mentions some of the reason why she felt drawn to the Carol Danvers character:

“The thing that I found so unique about this character was that sense of humor mixed with total capability in whatever challenge comes her way.”
