The new first look which is now being featured in Cinemark theaters reveals new footage from the upcoming film, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Brie Larson in the iconic red and blue Captain Marvel costume while Marvel Studios president teases the hero taking the lead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. Directed by Ann Boden & Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990’s “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019. Following her debut, Captain Marvel will return in the next Avengers film, Avengers: Endgame. The film will serve as a follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War and as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before it.
