Captain Marvel will be the first MCU feature film to center on a female lead and fans are excited to see Brie Larson bring the beloved character to life for an adventure set years before Nick Fury assembles the Avengers. While Captain Marvel has been targeted by angry internet users attacking the film before it debuts in theaters, reactions from those who have actually seen Carol Danvers’ Marvel Cinematic Universe debut feature are now online and the response to the film has been pretty great.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.
