Now, thanks to ESPN, we have official confirmation that a brand new look at Captain Marvel at the upcoming College Football National Championship game on January 7, 2019. Currently, it is not known what exactly will be shown during the game. It could be a brand new trailer, extended tv spot or a short clip that offers a couple of never before seen sequences. What ever the “new look” is, one thing is for sure – we will be seeing new footage/stills from the film in just over a week from today. You can see the full announcement below.
Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck with a script from them as well as Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Jac Schaeffer, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
Captain Marvel is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 8, 2019, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
