One Eagle-eyed Twitter user shared two screenshots from a Captain Marvel tie-in book called “Captain Marvel: Hero Storybook.” In one of the images, we see two people: one is Carol Davners and the other is, as it turns out, the Kree Supreme Intelligence. However, in the image, it isn’t a giant, living green head in a jar, but an actual person that looks an awful lot like Annette Bening’s mystery character from the film’s trailers. In the accompanying words on the page, we see that the Kree Supreme is transmitting its power into Carol, gathering in the photon battery at the base of her neck. Here, have a look for yourself.
Whether this is indeed the final or only form that the Kree Supreme Intelligence takes is anyone’s guess. It’s entirely possible that we could still get the giant green head in a jar. After all, we did get Ego the Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, such as it was. So could we still get the giant head in a jar for Captain Marvel? What do you think?
Ultimately, do you think this is even a spoiler for the film itself? Perhaps it’s for this particular book and the events in the movie could play out differently. We’ll have to see for ourselves once Captain Marvel hits theaters in a little over a month, but let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
