During a set visit, Captain Marvel executive producer Jonathan Schwartz talked to the people at ComicBook.com. While discussing the film, the producer talked about its genre and said that it’ll remind people of action movies that they saw in those decades:
It feels weird calling it a genre, but the genre is ’90s action movie. If you think about movies like RoboCop or Total Recall or Terminator 2 or Independence Day I think there are common action movie threads you can tease through those movies which are what we’re trying to pick up on in this movie.
From the sound of things, we may be in store for a nostalgic time in the upcoming film!
What do you all make of this statement? Would you like to see Captain Marvel play like Terminator 2 or Robocop? Will the PG-13 rating even allow that? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
