‘Captain Marvel’ Becomes One Of Top Pre-Selling Marvel Films On Fandango

Captain Marvel just became one of the top Marvel movies to sell advance tickets during its first day on Fandango.

Carol Danvers’ first outing in a live-action film is now in third place on advance ticket sales  being only outshined by last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, which made $ 257.7m and became the biggest opening in US/Canada of all time, and Black Panther, which made $202m. Not bad at all for the first female superhero of Marvel Studios to have a movie of her own. There’s already talk that Captain Marvel’s opening weekend will safely cross the $100m mark, easily.

Tickets went on sale last Monday at 6 pm EST and Fandango’s own Erik Davis is already thrilled by the numbers they’re watching:

“We’re seeing fantastic advance ticket sales for ‘Captain Marvel’ because it’s a historic film for Marvel Studios, one that fans have been waiting to see for a decade. As the studio’s first female-driven superhero film, ‘Captain Marvel’ is a benchmark moment for the genre, for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and for star Brie Larson, who will play the most powerful Marvel superhero to date.”

We’ll see how Brie Larson and Captain Marvel end up at the box-office, but it’s likely to see huge success and after seeing Black Panther reach the billion dollar mark and push past it, I’m sure the first femal lead Marvel Studios movie will break records. Did you buy tickets for Captain Marvel already? Here’s the synopsis for Captain Marvel:
