Carrie Fisher's mom, Debbie Reynolds, updates fans, assures that daughter is in "stable condition" after suffering a heart attack.
After being taken to the hospital, Carrie Fisher was reportedly in critical condition. As a Christmas miracle, Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, has updated fans on Twitter about her daughter’s condition. Reynolds assures that Fisher is in stable condition and thanked everyone for their love and support.
Carrie Fisher, best known for her portrayal as Princess Leia Organa in the Star Wars movies, was coming back from a book tour. Several passengers reported that the actress stopped breathing on the flight. United Airlines had this to say in a statement:
“Medical personnel met United flight 935 from London to Los Angeles upon arrival today after the crew reported that a passenger was unresponsive. Our thoughts are with our customer at this time, and any requests for additional information should be directed to local authorities.”
Among Carrie Fisher’s well-wishers were co-stars Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill, along with several others who took to Twitter to send their love and thoughts.
This story is still developing, but hopefully Carrie Fisher will be ok.
