Halle Berry’s Catwoman Is Somehow More Popular Than Michelle Pfeiffer’s

Halle Berry’s Catwoman was more popular than Michelle Pfeiffer’s version in a new Hollywood Reporter/Morning Consult poll.

Catwoman continues to be one of the most popular characters in Batman’s rogue’s gallery and has been featured in live-action DC projects multiple times. While Tim Burton offered a new take on the origins of Catwoman in Batman Returns, Michelle Pfeiffer’s performance is widely revered as one of the most memorable portrayals of the classic villain.

On the other hand, Halle Berry’s version in 2004’s Catwoman is regarded as one of the worst depictions of the character. However, the results of a Hollywood Reporter/Morning Consult poll conducted among 2,201 adults between June 6 and 9 reveal not everyone would agree with the aforementioned ranking of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s performances.

The results of the poll revealed 41% of those surveyed had a “very favorable” impression of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman, well ahead of the 26% earned by Anne Hathaway’s version of the character in The Dark Knight Rises. However, Halle Berry’s Catwoman managed to slightly outrank Michelle Pfeiffer’s version with 42% of those surveyed having a “very favorable” view of the former.

In terms of net favorability, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman polled at +62 against Halle Berry’s score of +53. Anne Hathaway’s version, on the other hand, earned a net favorability of +45.
