Before Daredevil was canceled by Netflix shortly after the acclaimed third season premiered on the streaming service, lead star Charlie Cox had early conversations about what direction the series would have headed towards in the fourth season. While Charlie Cox would not divulge details on what the fourth season would have explored, he did express his regret over not being able to see co-star Wilson Bethel explore more of Bullseye after the third season depicted the villain’s origin:
“I was looking forward to Wilson Bethel kind of getting to inhabit the character of Bullseye. Season 3 was kind of an origin story for the character and how Agent Poindexter becomes that character. So I was looking forward to having a season where he really embodies the Bullseye persona and what that dynamic would be between Bullseye and Daredevil.”
