Charlie Hunnam Has A Change Of Heart On Playing Green Arrow

Back in March, Sons of Anarchy and King Arthur star Charlie Hunnam talked about not being interested in playing the DC hero Green Arrow, a role that many fans have wanted to see him play. Here is what he said in the interview back in March when speaking with Yahoo Movies.

“I didn’t grow up a comic book fan and I haven’t really seen any of those Marvel films or the Batman films. It’s just not really my taste. I must confess I don’t really know who the Green Arrow is. It’s not part of my vision for my career or what I aspire to.”

However, it seems that Charlie Hunnam has had a change of heart since then. In a recent interview with the Brazilian website Omelete, the reporter spoke with Charlie Hunnam and brought up the Emerald Archer being someone that Charlie Hunnam would be perfect for.

“I’m not a fan of the comic books, so I don’t know why people are always asking me about him [Green Arrow], do I look like him? Well then come on DC, what’s up! Give me a call!”

Green Arrow is currently active in the world of television as Stephen Amell portrays Oliver Queen on the CW series Arrow which has been picked up for a sixth season. While a Green Arrow film isn’t officially in the works at Warner Bros., there is always the chance that the archer could show up in the films at some point as the DCEU continues to grow.
