Check Out A New Image From ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Check out a new image from 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'. Tom Holland and Jon Watts also discuss the film and the tone change from other MCU films.

The Marvel universe is ready to grow with the addition of the famous web-slinger. In just a few short months, Spider-Man will be gracing our theater screens. Below, check out a new image from Spider-Man: Homecoming that has been released ahead of the movie.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, director Jon Watts says there’s a bit of a tone change in his film when comparing it to other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“We’ve seen the Marvel Universe from the very dramatic penthouse perspective of Tony Stark; now we see what it looks like on the ground through the eyes of a 15-year-old.”

Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, says that being on the set of Captain America: Civil War helped him a lot.

“I was able to see how professional Chris Evans behaves, how Robert Downey Jr. is always on time and always prepared — it gave me a blueprint of what to do and how to act.”

While on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland adds that he had to occasionally remind himself that, yes, he was in a movie with Michael Keaton and had been working with Robert Downey Jr.

“Every once in a while there’d be a moment when you sort of accidentally step back from the situation and realize who you are talking to. I had to ignore it and go back to work. They’re such great actors and they have doing it so you’re able to have fun with them.”

There’s a lot of anticipation for the film, and based on the trailers, it definitely looks like a lot of fun. After Homecoming, Holland will next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War.

You can read the movie’s synopsis below.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is out in theaters July 17, 2017.
