The news comes exclusively from the site Revenge of the Fans (via The Hashtag Show). DC Universe has tapped Chelsea Zhang to play Deathstroke’s daughter. Last week it was reported that Titans had found its Deathstroke, aka Slade Wilson, actor in the form of Esai Morales.
Chelsea Zhang will play Deathstroke’s daughter, also known as Rose Wilson. According to the RTF report, both Deathstroke and Rose are listed as principal players in season two. Expect the 22-year old Asian-American actress to play a prominent role in the upcoming Titans episodes.
Before being cast as Rose Wilson in Titans, Chelsea Zhang was known for playing “Brittany” on the Disney series Andi Mack.
The first season finale concluded teasing Connor Kent/Superboy and Krypto the Super Dog joining the second season. Production on the next season is underway in and expected to wrap by early September.
The series has been written by Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl) with Goldsman, Johns and Berlanti Prods’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers. The series hails from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.
The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Dwain Murphy as Negative Man, Jake Michaels as Cliff Steel, April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Conor Leslie as Wonder Girl, with Curran Walters as Jason Todd.
Titans is now available exclusively on DC Universe in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
