Chris Evans has been very vocal on social media not only to promote Captain America and the Avengers but also to share very politically charged thoughts. Recently, Chris Evans took to Twitter to thank fans using the hashtag “#ThankYouAvengers” after watching Avengers: Endgame and discovering Steve Rogers’ fate at the end of the film. Here’s what he had to say:
Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers has been the moral compass for the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Captain America: The First Avenger debuted way back in 2011 and paved the way for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. Later, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers discovered how Hydra infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. and destroyed it to save the world from total destruction. During Captain America: Civil War, Cap faced Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark due to the Sokovia Accords, breaking the Avengers in that process. In Avengers: Infinity War, Rogers embraces his rogue status and ultimately gets defeated by Thanos. Now in Avengers: Endgame, the epic conclusion of the “Infinity Saga,” we’ll get to see how his story unfolds.
