A new image sees Chris Evans’ Captain America unleash the power of Thor with his hammer, based on the iconic scene in Avengers: Endgame.
One of the most crowd-pleasing moments in Avengers: Endgame was when Chris Evans’ Captian America wielded Thor’s hammer during the final battle. This moment had been teased since Avengers: Age of Ultron. There has also been some controversy surrounding the scene.
While the Russo Brothers say Chris Evans’ Captain America was always worthy of lifting the hammer, some fans don’t buy the explanation. Those MCU fans speculate Captain America couldn’t lift the hammer because he didn’t tell Tony that Bucky killed his parents in Age of Ultron. The popular theory goes that after the truth came out in Civil War, Captain America then became worthy enough for that incredible moment in Avengers: Endgame. A new image has now been crafted by digital artist Dalton Barrett, which sees Captain America unleashing the power of Thor:

Veteran X-Men producer Simon Kinberg makes his directorial debut with Dark Phoenix in addition to producing the film with Hutch Parker, Lauren Schuler Donner and Todd Hallowell. Dark Phoenix is expected to be Fox's final X-Men film featuring the core X-Men cast in the cinematic universe launched by director Bryan Singer in 2000 with the Disney-Fox merger now complete.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain. Here's the film's synopsis:
“This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, as the family of mutants that we’ve come to know and love must face their most devastating enemy yet — one of their own.”
Dark Phoenix is set to hit theaters on June 7, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the X-Men.
