Bet you didn't expect that? Captain America star Chris Evans is the best actor the buck thanks to the billion dollar Marvel franchise.
According to Forbes, Evans has been named the Best Actor For The Buck in Hollywood. This annual tradition ties the actor’s or actress’ last three films’ box office, then calculates the operating income of them, and divides it by the actor’s estimated pay for those movies. So, by that model, Evans returned $135.80 at the box office for every $1 he was paid. The last three films Evans appeared in were The Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron and Civil War.
Fellow Marvel stars Chris Pratt and Scarlett Johansson finished in second and third place respectively. For every $1 Pratt was paid, he brought in $125.40. This is thanks to Pratt’s roles in Guardians of The Galaxy and The LEGO Movie. Johansson brought in $88.60 for every $1 she was paid thanks to her roles in Lucy, Age of Ultron and Civil War.
The Top 5 are outlined below:
Chris Evans, returned $135.80 for each $1 paid.
Chris Pratt, returned $125.40 for each $1 paid.
Scarlett Johansson, returned $88.60 for each $1 paid.
Mila Kunis, returned $49.50 for each $1 paid.
Vin Diesel, returned $32 for each $1 paid.
So, if you are a young actor wanting to succeed in Hollywood, call yourself Chris! Jokes aside, it is incredibly cool to see an actor such as Chris Evans top this as I feel he is extremely underrated. Hopefully his role in Marc Webb’s Gifted changes that, and shows audiences his remarkable range.
