‘Captain America’ Star Chris Evans Supports Captain Marvel On Social Media

Steve. Steve Rogers. Are you paying attention? Look at her. She’s the captain now. Or, at least, that’s what many will probably say with Carol Danvers set to take center stage in next year’s Captain Marvel and, subsequently, Avengers 4 next May. With there now being a trailer for the Captain Marvel film, many are already looking deep into it and how it will connect with present-day events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But let’s step away from that and look at how the real life Captain America himself, Chris Evans, is supporting his fellow future comrade.

So the trailer for Captain Marvel dropped today and you’ve no doubt seen it a hundred times by now. What did you think? Well, before you let us know that, it’s worth noting that Chris Evans’s mind appeared to be blown by the trailer, as he posted, well, mind-blown emojis on his Twitter page in response to the upcoming Captain Marvel film. Okay, he liked the trailer and is supporting his fellow Marvel Studios companion. No problem. Story’s done.

Well, not exactly, because following that, Brie Larson herself entered the mix and responded to Chris Evans’ tweet with the simple, but effective message of “Love ya, Cap.” Here, have a look at the exchange of the Marvel captains in the tweet below:

The two captains will no doubt have some level of interaction in the follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War next May. Could Danvers be the new Captain of the Avengers, were Avengers 4 to be Steve Rogers’ final bow? Either way, it’s a nice show of…well, showmanship between the two actors and their solidarity for the characters they play. Let us know your thoughts on the Captain Marvel trailer in the comments below.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

The film will fly into theaters on March 8, 2019.
