Chris Evans’ Captain America & Human Torch Collide In Awesome Image

New fan art imagines what it would look like if Avengers star Chris Evans’ two Marvel characters Captain America and Human Torch became one awesome hero.

Chris Evans was starring in Marvel movies long before his iconic run as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2005,  Chris Evans played Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, in Fantastic Four. The film was the first big-screen outing for Marvel’s First Family and it even spawned a sequel in 2007, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Now that Disney has purchased 20th Century Fox, Chris Evans’ former hero Human Torch could plausibly join Captain America up on the big screen.

To celebrate the historic Disney/Fox merger coming to a close, talented artist BossLogic took to Twitter to share an incredible art piece depicting Chris Evan’s Avengers character Captain America harnessing the fiery powers of Human Torch. Check out the exciting image in the post below.

Chris Evans will next play the role of Captain America in Avengers: Endgame. The highly-anticipated follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters in April, followed by the web-slinging sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

Before Avengers: Endgame arrives, fans can still check out the 1995-set MCU origin story Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson, in theaters now. The film sets up the titular hero’s arrival in Avengers: Endgame, where she’ll team up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in an attempt to undo the destruction caused by Thanos (Josh Brolin) at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all new regarding Avengers: Endgame and the arrival of Human Torch, as well as the rest of the Fantastic Four, in the MCU as soon as more information becomes available. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
