Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans continue to make fans laugh via their playful reactions to all things Marvel and this time the dynamic duo have fun with cool new fan art featuring their respective Avengers characters, Iron Man and Captain America, two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s original heroes.
Robert Downey Jr. tweeted out an image today featuring Iron Man and Captain America taking refuge from incoming projectiles beneath the Vibranium safety of Cap’s star-spangled shield. The real-life Tony Stark sent the tweet out to Avengers co-star Chris Evans and you can check out their awesome back-and-forth in the post below.
Fans might remember that the now-iconic shield which Steve Rogers so proudly bares in the Avengers films and other Marvel Cinematic Universe flicks, actually hails from the mind of one Howard Stark, who crafted it out of Earth’s mightiest metal before bestowing it upon Cap in the 1940’s.
