Chris Evans & Robert Downey Jr. Bond Over Captain America Departure

In a recent post, Captain America actor Chris Evans responded to Robert Downey Jr.’s response to him apparently leaving the role.

Earlier this week Chris Evans wrote a heartfelt post where in he discussed his role as Captain America over the past eight years after completing reshoots for Avengers 4. While he didn’t confirm that he would be leaving the role, many people took this as a confirmation that this would be his last time suiting up as the character.

Earlier today, Robert Downey Jr. responded to this with a surprisingly heartfelt Toy Story reference regarding Captain America’s role as the sheriff. Chris Evans’ response to it was merely to crown Robert Downey Jr. as the king:

Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
