Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman are two heroes with a surprising amount of similarities. Mainly, Thor and Aquaman both have movie franchises that wouldn’t have seen the light of day 15 years ago due to how laughable their source material is. However, the first Thor movie has a 77% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed nearly $450 million at the global box office in 2011. Though its sequel was not great, Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder became one of the best characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his appearances in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.
Likewise, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman movie was a colossal hit for Warner Bros and DC Films. It has a 65% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is currently the highest-grossing DC Comics movie of all-time with $1.148 billion. While Chris Hemsworth’s Thor looks fairly similar to his comic book counterpart, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman does not due to his tattoos, as well as his distinctive long dark hair and beard. In the comics, Aquaman is usually white with blond hair and a clean-shaved look, but Zack Snyder decided to go against the grain when he cast Momoa as the DC Extendeed Universe’s Arthur Curry. Digital artist jscomicart recently shared a fun concept that shows off just what Avengers star Chris Hemsworth could look like with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman suit. You can check out the edit below.
