Chris Hemsworth Confirms That Marvel Actors Aren't Allowed To Appear In DC Films. Thor: Ragnarok will be coming to theaters this November.

Speaking at the Supanova convention in Australia over the weekend, Chris Hemsworth said that it was “illegal” for Marvel actor to show up in DC films. So that means that any one of the Avengers actors, including Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. are prohibited from ever appearing in films like Batman, etc.

The news comes from Twitter user Tyler James, who was in attendance at the convention and present at Hemsworth’s panel. You can read the tweet below.

It’s not unheard of for actors to be tied to contracts that have them only working for one studio and not the other. However, an actor like Josh Brolin, who has appeared as Thanos in the MCU and will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, is allowed to also be in Deadpool 2, most likely because he’s still a Marvel character.

Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins, and Jeff Goldblum.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3, 2017.
