Don’t Ask Chris Pratt About That Elusive ‘Guardians’ Easter Egg

Apparently, not even Chris Pratt knows about the still-unidentified Easter Egg found in James Gunn's 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.

Ever since it was first released, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy found many fans rewatching the film countless times to find an Easter Egg director James Gunn claims no one has found yet. And as it turns out, not even the film’s star Chris Pratt knows what it is.

The ever-elusive Easter Egg continues to remain a mystery even as the film’s sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is about to hit theaters. Given the fact that the original film is approaching three years since it was released, the fact that no one has discovered it is quite strange.

When speaking to the Huffington Post, Pratt claims that although he’s asked Gunn about the Easter Egg, Gunn refuses to spill the beans:

[Gunn] won’t tell me what it is. I asked him. He won’t tell me. I’m like, ‘C’mon, man. Don’t you trust me?’ He’s like, ‘No.’ He thinks I’ll spoil it. He won’t tell me shit.

He won’t tell me stuff. There are certain elements that he just won’t tell me. He loves to withhold information from me. That pisses me off so much. But I totally trust him, and he’s really smart too, because I would be blabbing all over the place.

Okay, if Gunn won’t even tell his own actors what the Easter Egg is, it seems quite plausible that perhaps fans won’t be able to find that hidden gem even by the time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 blasts into theaters.

Oh well, it looks like we just have to watch Guardians of the Galaxy for the umpteenth time. Fans won’t rest until they find what that Easter Egg is. Even if it takes another three years…

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters on May 5, 2017.
