'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' and 'Jurassic World 2' star Chris Pratt receives his own Star on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Today, Pratt received his own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – one of the most coveted honors anyone in the entertainment industry can receive.
The ceremony featured appearances by his wife Anna Faris, his 4-year-old son Jack, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn and his fellow Guardians co-stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker and Pom Klementieff.
Before his roles in major blockbusters, audiences fell in love with Pratt thanks to his role as Andy Dwyer in all seven seasons of NBC’s hit sitcom, Parks and Recreation. Before his star-making role in Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt appeared in films such as Wanted, Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, Her and The LEGO Movie.
Pratt thanked his family, his agent Jason Heyman, his manager Julie Darmody and his Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.
I had good parents that raised me right. And maybe it had something to do with the fact I’m 37 and moved here when I was 20, and in those 17 years saw the benefits and cost of being an a—— play out in front of me with other people.
Choosing films for me is the right combination of story and filmmaker. And having a good team to advise you on those decisions. But part of it is a crapshoot, too. And I do feel like one of the luckiest men alive.
Chris Pratt will next be featured in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017. He will also appear in the currently untitled sequel to Jurassic World when it hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
