Christopher McQuarrie Interested In Directing Next ‘Superman’ Movie

Christopher McQuarrie stated that, after having worked with Henry Cavill on the sixth Mission: Impossible film, he'd be happy to make a Superman sequel.

Christopher McQuarrie, the director of the next Mission: Impossible film that infamously kept Henry Cavill from shaving for the Justice League reshoots, states that he’s open to direct a Superman standalone or another project for DC if asked.

Talking with a fan on Twitter during a Q&A session, McQuarrie was asked about the possibility of doing a Superman movie, to which he seemed to be interested, saying “they know where to find me.”

As it stands, McQuarrie’s done some great work on the Mission: Impossible series, and it’s likely that he’d greatly help DC Films develop their shared universe to its full potential. Hopefully, DC takes note of his offer when they get around to making a sequel to Henry Cavill’s first cinematic solo outing as Superman, Man of Steel.

Justice League is available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Formats. The film is made up of an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne (Batman), Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent (Superman), Gal Gadot as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry (Aquaman), Ezra Miller as Barry Allen (The Flash), Ray Fisher as Victor Stone (Cyborg), Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James ‘Jim’ Gordon, Joe Morton as Dr. Silas Stone, Amber Heard as Mera, and Billy Crudup as Dr. Henry Allen.
