It’s currently unclear when Tenet will arrive in theaters since the the film’s release date has been pulled, which was confirmed in the latest trailer. Meanwhile, the new Tenet trailer released last week might have shown us more of Christopher Nolan’s latest project, but much of the film’s plot still remains shrouded in secrecy. In addition to the trailer, Warner Bros. also released a puzzling synopsis for the film that further suggests Tenet will dealing with inversion and that John David Washington’s character is seemingly called, Protagonist.
All will be revealed when Tenet eventually arrives in theaters the way Christopher Nolan intended. While Tenet‘s release remains as mysterious as the film’s plot, Total Film debuted some new images from the upcoming spy epic that features John David Washington, Kenneth Branagh, and Elizabeth Debicki. “John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.”
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
