Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ Release Gets Pushed To August

Will theater goers get experience Tenet in cinemas?

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet gets pushed to August 12, 2020 due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases.

Tenet’s release date has been a hot topic due to Christopher Nolan’s unwavering push to get fans back in theaters during a pandemic. A lot of fans have concerns over returning to theaters because they don’t feel safe with the ongoing pandemic. It seemed that Warner Bros. and Nolan weren’t willing to budge on Tenet’s release date until they finally pushed it back two weeks to July 31st, 2020.

Now, the film is being pushed back once again to due to a recent spike in Covid-19 cases. Tenet will now get released on August 12, 2020 and it doesn’t seem like it’ll be the only film to move from their July release date. Disney is also expected to push the live-action Mulan to a yet to be determined date.

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
