Christopher Nolan Thinks Tom Hardy Could “Be Amazing” As James Bond

Christopher Nolan believes that his frequent collaborator Tom Hard could "be amazing" as James Bond if he were ever to receive the role.

Dunkirk director Christopher Nolan believes that his frequent collaborator Tom Hardy could do a great job playing James Bond.

Last played by Daniel Craig, the James Bond franchise has been in a limbo of sorts, with not much concrete information coming out, other than potential directors and stars.

With Nolan himself being courted by producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson to direct an upcoming film in the franchise, it makes sense that he would throw a potential name out there for someone to take over Craig.

On Josh Horowitz’s podcast, Happy Sad Confused, Nolan was asked if he would take over the franchise from Sam Mendes and while he played coy, he certainly talked up Tom Hardy, citing that he would “be amazing” in the role. Nolan also reiterated that while he loves Bond, he’d have to “be needed” to join the franchise.

Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Dunkirk, is currently in cinemas and stars Fionn Whitehead, Harry Styles, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy.
