‘Captain America: Civil War’ Co-Screenwriter Would Like To Introduce ‘Namor’ Into The MCU

With Captain America: Civil War, screenwriters Chris Markus and Steve McFeely had the task of bringing a number of new characters into the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse which included some pretty big names such as ‘Spider-Man’ & ‘Black Panther’. As the universe continues to expand, there’s definitely a few other characters that the screenwriters would like a chance to work with. While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the screenwriting duo revealed who those are and McFeely has one in particular that he’d like to take a crack at.

Namor. He is kind of a jerk and has a chip on his shoulder and he is a king and lives underwater. The degree of difficulty is so high, though. ‘Cause it could be a great movie or it could be truly terrible.

Markus added that he thought it would be cool to make a Marvel Zombies film but “that would require a whole other wing or, at least, another dimension”. While I don’t see the second one ever happening, with Marvel Studios regaining the rights to the other character, wouldn’t be too surprised if eventually saw him make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, wouldn’t expect a solo film due to Universal possibly having the distribution rights. Let us know what you think about the possibility of ‘Namor’ joining the MCU below and where you’d like to see him pop in the comments section below..
