Lou Mongello noticed a detail in a scene from Civil War that perhaps reveals the Russo Brothers knew exactly what was coming next for the the Avengers.
As you can see during Civil War there’s a scene that contains some of the MCU’s biggest heroes sitting in a particular way. Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Vision did not survive Thanos’ snap and are the only ones sitting on the right of the table, while those on the left side of the table survive. Captain America, Black Widow, and War Machine are sitting side by side which is how they were on the battle at Wakanda during Infinity War and while the three of these heroes were fighting side by side in Wakanda, Tony Stark was far from home fighting for the fate of the universe in space. Iron Man is sitting in a chair far from everyone on the table which is much like how he was during the film while everyone was at Wakanda.
The scene could be referencing as to how Captain America, Black Widow, and War Machine were set to survive together side by side while Tony would be in space far from his friends. According to the Avengers: Endgame trailer Tony Stark is currently stranded in space far from everyone else while those who survived Thanos’ snap are on Earth. This may or may not be reaching, but of course the Russo Brothers had to be in on what was to come for Infinity War during the filming of Civil War as both films were their vision. So, this is quite an amazing attention to detail.
