‘Cloak & Dagger’ To Be Scored By ‘Once Upon A Time’ Composer Mark Isham

Once Upon a Time composer Mark Isham will be scoring the soundtrack for the upcoming Marvel series, Cloak & Dagger. He posted the news to his Instagram account. Isham has also composed music for American Crime and Crash.

“Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” is an adaptation of the beloved Marvel characters whose story is aimed squarely at young adults. This live-action interracial romance follows Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart — but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.”

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, starring Aubrey Joseph (The Night Of) as Ty Johnson/Cloak, Olivia Holt (Kickin’ It) as Tandy Bowen/Dagger, Andrea Roth (Blue Bloods) as Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben (ER) as Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden (Bloodline) as Michael Johnson, James Saito (Life of Pi) as Dr. Bernard Sanjo, J.D. Evermore (True Detective) as Detective Connors and Carl Lundstedt (Conviction) as Liam.

Underground’s Joe Pokaski has been tapped as the show-runner and executive producer on the upcoming series. Beyond the Lights’ Gina Prince-Bythewood directed the pilot.

Cloak & Dagger is set to premiere on Freeform in January 2018.
