Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Jurassic World 3’ Adds DeWanda Wise In Lead Role

DeWanda Wise has joined the cast of Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3.

After passing directorial duties to J. A Bayona for Fallen Kingdom, Colin Trevorrow will return to the director’s chair to helm the third installment of the Jurassic World film series. Now, Variety reports She’s Gotta Have It star DeWanda Wise has been cast as a lead character in Jurassic World 3.

Full plots details on Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3 are currently under wraps, though the film will deal with the consequences of the dinosaurs being released on the mainland at the end of Fallen Kingdom. The latest entry in Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World series will also unite cast members from the first two films alongside the original stars of Jurassic Park. In addition to serving as director, Colin Trevorrow is on board as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg.

DeWanda Wise’s additional feature film credits include The Weekend, Someone Great, and Fatherhood. On the television side, DeWanda Wise has had roles in Boardwalk Empire, The Mentalist, and The Twilight Zone.
