'Spider-Man: Homecoming' co-writer John Francis Daley confirms reports that he and Jonathan Goldstein are in talks to direct 'Flashpoint'.
Yesterday, it was reported that Vacation co-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were in talks to helm DC’s upcoming Flashpoint film. Now, Daley has confirmed that he and Goldstein have entered negotiations to direct the project through his official Twitter account. You can check out Daley’s post below!
The Flash standalone film has experienced setbacks over the course of development with Dope director Rick Famuyiwa exiting the project over creative differences. Famuyiwa had been hired to replace Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote the original script and left the project under similar circumstances. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword writer Joby Harold penned the latest script for Flashpoint.
Flashpoint stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. Gal Gadot is also set to make an appearance as Wonder Woman.
Dou you think Daley and Goldstein, whose credits also include New Line’s upcoming action-comedy Game Night, are the right choice to direct the first Flash film? Share your thoughts below!
Flashpoint does not currently have a release date.
