There are a couple of video game projects in development with DC characters that are shrouded in mystery. The first is with Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady, who has teased the project a bit and have only confirmed that it isn’t the long-rumored Superman game. Meanwhile, Batman: Arkham Origins‘ Warner Bros. Montreal appears to be working on a game that is rumored to involve the Court of Owls.
Not many DC video games have been confirmed following the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, which came out in 2015. But, Warner Bros. Montreal was rumored to be working on a Batman: Arkham Knight sequel that followed Damian Wayne in the future. An anonymous user on 4Chan has now leaked some concept art from the canceled Batman game that seems to confirm its existence. The art features a post-apocalyptic Gotham City, Two-Face, a female Black Mask, Gorilla Grodd, and Dick Grayson. You can check out the concept art for yourself, courtesy of @slcmof on Twitter, below:
Arkham Knight finished out Rocksteady’s trilogy of games. However, it appears a new Batman game was going to follow Damian Wayne after the events of it. While Damian Wayne was not featured in the Arkham games, he has picked up the mantle of Batman in the comics. There have been other notable heirs who have adopted the cowl as well, including Dick Grayson and Terry McGinnis.
Are you sad that the Damian Wayne game got canceled? Would you rather see a Batman Beyond game? What do you think Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Montreal are working on now? Were you a fan of Arkham Knight? Sound off in the comments below!
Rocksteady’s Arkham Trilogy is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
