A new Predator film is in the works under Disney!
The Predator franchise that began with the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone through numerous revisions in recent years with Robert Rodriguez and most recently, Shane Black. The Predator resulted in a box office bomb and a negative critical response, but Disney is now looking to breathe some life into the franchise with 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg.
Deadline is reporting that a new Predator film in development over at 20th Century Studios with 10 Cloverfield Lane’s Dan Tractenberg on board to direct. The studio has also enlisted Patrick Aison to pen the script, who is best known for writing Amazon’s recent Jack Ryan series. It’s also said the next entry in the Predator franchise will ignore the events of the Shane Black film.
