Here’s How Danai Gurira’s Michonne Exits ‘The Walking Dead’ TV Series

Danai Gurira’s Michonne exited The Walking Dead in the most recent episode, and the character left looking for Rick Grimes.

After returning Virgil to his mysterious island in the latest episode of The Walking Dead, Danai Gurira’s Michonne made a startling discovery which will likely lead to her future in the trilogy of movies planned by AMC. Although Virgil wound up lying to Michonne about the weapons he’d promised to give her to help in the war with the Whisperers, even locking her up for a brief spell with other prisoners, he inadvertently gave her an even better reward. Michonne discovered a pair of boots in one of the abandoned buildings that obviously belonged to Rick Grimes. It’s an excellent way of offering a backdoor to The Walking Dead movies that Andrew Lincoln is involved in.

After Virgil eventually convinces Danai Gurira’s Michonne that he doesn’t know where Rick is, he shows her to a boat that washed up in a storm, and inside is a log book with a number of locations written inside. A carving of Michonne and Judith confirms to the survivor that Rick Grimes isn’t dead like she’d assumed. Understandably, Judith told Michonne to go looking for him. It wouldn’t be surprising if Danai Gurira’s Michonne travels to all the locations in the log book across the course of The Walking Dead movie trilogy looking for Rick Grimes. Not much is known about the movies, only that they’ll explain where Rick’s gone to and the new dangers he faces.

Do you think Danai Gurira’s exit on The Walking Dead series will lead into the trilogy of movies? Do you want to see Michonne and Rick Grimes reunite? Sound off in the comments below!
