Daniel Bruhl Teases Baron Zemo’s Return In ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ Set Photo

Daniel Bruhl shared a new set photo teasing his return as Baron Zemo in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Daniel Bruhl made his first appearance as Baron Zemo in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, where he was revealed to be the mastermind behind the series events that lead to the dissolution of the Avengers. However, Daniel Bruhl’s incarnation of the character never donned the famous purple mask from the comic nor was he officially named Baron Zemo.

Now, Daniel Bruhl will reprise his role as Baron Zemo in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and Winter Soldier series for Disney Plus and the actor shared a new set photo teasing his return. Posted on his official Instagram, the photo confirms Daniel Bruhl’s villain will officially be called Baron Zemo for his return in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier is currently set to be the first Marvel Studios series to debut on Disney Plus. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the series is rumored to center on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as the former finds himself facing resistance from the United States government and its opposition to him taking on the Captain America mantle.

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, The Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ in late 2020.
