Daniel Brühl, Rhys Ifans & Charles Dance In Talks To Join ‘Kingsman’ Prequel

Daniel Brühl, Rhys Ifans, and Charles Dance are all in talks to join Matthew Vaughn’s next Kingsman film, which will be a prequel set in the early 1900’s.

Collider reports that the Kingsman prequel will be more of a “period drama,” than a spy-thriller with the film telling the origins of the secret service. Collider has now reported that Daniel Brühl (Captain America: Civil War), Rhys Ifans ( The Amazing Spider-Man), and Charles Dance (HBO’s Game of Thrones) are all in talks to join Vaughn’s prequel. The actors join Harris Dickinson (FX’s Trust), who will play Conrad, “a cocky young hero eager to serve his country and continue his fight from World War I” and Ralph Fiennes with Watchmen‘s Matthew Goode also being eyed for role in the film. The film will reportedly start principal photography in the UK this January.

Based on Mark Millar’s comic book series of the same name, the Kingsman film series followed the efforts of a British spy organization as they battle various foes and thwart world-ending schemes.

The Kingsman prequel is set for release on November 8, 2019.
