Daniel Bruhl On Seeing Zemo’s Mask In ‘The Falcon & The Winter Soldier’

Zemo's back for the Disney Plus series.

Daniel Bruhl revealed what it was like seeing Zemo’s mask in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for the first time.

Although fans will likely have to wait a little longer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to arrive on Disney Plus, it’s at least shaping up to be a fascinating series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent making an appearance, the duo will go up against Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo in the series in his comic-accurate purple mask. In a recent interview with Collider ahead of the next season of The Alienist, Bruhl explained what it was like to see the mask for the first time.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star told the outlet that director Kari Skogland visited him in Budapest to shoot the teaser announcement for the series which first showed Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo in his comic-accurate look. He explained that he was happy and enthusiastic to finally see the mask. The star also expressed how thrilled he was to return to the MCU and working with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. Take a look at what Bruhl had to say about the Disney Plus series below.

“I remember that Kari Skogland, the director, came to Budapest and we recorded something with me being Zemo, and I was very happy and enthusiastic to see the mask. I was incredibly thrilled to go back because I remember that I had a lot of fun being in something completely different and getting to explore the MCU and become part of that. I have the fondest memories of collaborating with all of these wonderful actors, and to see Sebastian Stan again, and Anthony Mackie, this time around, and to come back to something which, on the one hand, felt common and known, and on the other hand, being something completely new and something fresh.”
