Bond 25 has been confirmed to bring Daniel Craig back as the famous spy for one last mission. Cary Joji Fukunaga is on board to direct the new film from a script by Robert Wade, Neal Pervis and Scott Z. Burns. The film has recently been making rounds as there is a working title that could be hinting at the return of a familiar foe. According to Production Weekly, the working title of Bond 25 is “Shatterhand.”
For those who aren’t too familiar with Ian Fleming’s You Only Live Twice novel, Dr. Shatterhand is actually an alias of the villainous Blofeld. Ernst Stavro Blofeld was recently portrayed by actor Christoph Waltz in 2015’s Spectre and the villain evaded death at the end of the film. It is possible the villain could return or make an appearance in Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie, but there is no official word as of today about the character being involved in the film.
Daniel Craig wowed critics and audiences when he debuted as James Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale. The actor brought something new and fresh to the character of James Bond and audiences have been asking for more since his performance in that movie. Craig returned for three more movies after Casino Royale, with Skyfall becoming one of the franchise’s most successful films. Daniel Craig is now ready to return one last time as the famous MI6 spy for a final film that will hopefully bring his story full circle.
Do you think Blofeld could be making a return in the next James Bond movie? Are you looking forward to Bond 25 and would you like to see Shatterhand as its official title? Share your thoughts below!
