‘Bond 25’ Production To Continue As Daniel Craig Recovers From Minor Surgery

Production on James Bond 25 is officially set to resume while actor Daniel Craig recovers from minor surgery following an on-set injury.

Last week, production on James Bond 25 was temporarily suspended after Daniel Craig sustained an injury while filming a scene in Jamaica and had to be flown to the United States for X-rays. Now, an official statement confirms Daniel Craig will undergo minor ankle surgery resulting from the aforementioned on-set injury and will rehabilitate for two weeks following the procedure. However, production on James Bond 25 is set to continue while Daniel Craig recovers and the scheduled April 2020 release date has not been affected by the incident.

Filming for Daniel Craig’s James Bond 25 is also set to take place in Italy, London, as well as on set in Pinewood Studios.

Bond 25 is set to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond after having played the character Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre.

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica.  His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a script written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the 25th James Bond stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.

James Bond 25 is scheduled to be released in theaters on 8, April 2020.
