Harry Potter Star Daniel Radcliffe On Replacing Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe recently revealed he would very much be up for replacing Hugh Jackman as a new Wolverine.

During a new interview, Daniel Radcliffe responded to Google query asking whether or not the Harry Potter actor would be the new Wolverine after Hugh Jackman. After seventeen years of playing the character in the X-Men film franchise established by Bryan Singer, Hugh Jackman exited the role of the mutant clawed hero with the critically-acclaimed film Logan in 2017 but we could be seeing a new and possibly younger Wolverine following the Disney-Fox merger sooner than expected.

Earlier this week, veteran X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner opened up on passing the baton to Kevin Feige at Marvel Studios, confirming the superhero visionary is indeed searching for a new actor to play Wolverine and admitted it should go to a younger actor due to the physicality required for the role. Rumors have swirled that Disney is considering an X-Men series for their upcoming streaming service Disney+ which is set to launch by the end of the year.

Daniel Radcliffe took to Instagram, sharing the video in which he jokes that there will be a new movie in which Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine goes into a hotwash only to come out, revealing the Harry Potter actor in the role. Check it out below!

So what do you think? Would Daniel Radcliffe make for a good replacement for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine? Let us know in the comments below!

The X-Men film saga continues this summer with Dark Phoenix which could be the final installment of the main film series.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is directed by Simon Kinberg and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.

“In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.”

The film is set to hit theaters on June 7, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the X-Men franchise as we learn it.
