Charlie Cox Believes ‘Daredevil’ Would Fit In With ‘The Avengers’ Despite Series Darker Tone

While production schedules might make it a bit difficult, fans are hoping to one day see some of Marvel’s television characters make the leap to the big screen eventually. However, some wonder if these character would fit in with their big screen counterparts due the darker tone of the Netflix projects. Well, series start Charlie Cox believes that Matt Murdock would fit right in with The Avengers. While speaking with ComicBook.com, the actor had the following to say on the subject.

Some people have said that they wonder about, based on the tone the show, how Matt would fit in with the Avengers. I was reading Civil War the other day, and Matt Murdock… is kind of an ass. He’s in the back, standing around grumpy a lot of the time, and every now and again, he just says ‘Well, we’re not doing that’ or something to that effect, and I’m like, ‘That’s the character, we’re fine.’ So tonally, with Matt I think we’re right on point and he’d be a perfect fit in the larger MCU.

When asked which member of the team he’d likely have a relationship with, Cox quickly answered with “Black Widow” which is something that might make fans of Frank Miller’s run very happy to hear. What do you think about Cox’s comments? Sound off with your thoughts below.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

Daredevil Season Two will be available to stream on Netflix starting on March 18, 2016.
