#SaveDaredevil Campaign Gets Serious Air Time In Times Square

We currently live in the unfortunate reality with no more new episodes of Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil series. We also live in a reality were super fans who passionately love such hit properties can make their voices heard in big, bad and expensive ways.

According to ComicBook.com, fans of the Daredevil show have banded together to raise the money needed to rent out a couple of digital billboards in Times Square in order to bring awareness to their #SaveDaredevil internet campaign.

The group shelled out enough dough for five minutes of screen time on a pair of billboards near 42nd Street during the busy lunch hour. Apparently, one of the boards was specifically displaying a permanent message asking for a renewal of the show. The other billboard rotated through still from Daredevil and featured character favorite characters such as Daredevil himself, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Mother Maggie and Bullseye.

According to the Times Square District Management Association, over 330,000 individuals traffic through the area on a daily basis. That is a lot of eyeballs and a lot of potential notice gained for the campaign to save Daredevil. And you know it could not have been cheap, either. Was it all worth it? Guess we have to wait to see.

What do you think of this news? And will you be joining the #SaveDaredevil cause? Would you want to see more of Netflix’s Daredevil? Let us know in the comments below!

The third season of Marvel’s Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whalley, Jay Ali, Wilson Bethel, Stephen Rider and Vincent D’Onofrio. Here’s the synopsis for season three:
