Netflix’s decision to cancel Daredevil after three seasons came as a surprise to many, including the creative team behind the series, who had mapped out the entire story for the fourth season. Now, Amy Rutberg, who portrayed lawyer Marci Stahl, has revealed that the fourth season was rumored to begin production as early as February 2019 before Netflix opted to cancel the series:
“We had heard rumors we would start production as early as February 2019. It’s a little unusual to be that far ahead in the planning and cancel the show, which makes me think Netflix was laboring over whether or not to cancel it. My guess was it was not an easy decision.”
