Darkseid Gets An Intimidating Poster For Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’

Darkseid is (on a poster.)

A new poster for Zack Snyder’s Justice League reveals an intimidating look at the Lord of Apokolips himself, Darkseid.

It’s fair to say that one of things DC fans are most excited to see in Justice League is the Dark Lord of Apokolips, Darkseid, brought to life in a stunning way that matches the rest of Zack Snyder’s vision for the DC Extended Universe. Voice actor Ray Porter has spoken at length at how excited he is for audiences to finally see the villain in action, and now a new poster puts him in the spotlight that he definitely deserves.

The poster was revealed by HBO Max on Twitter, matching the same black and white tone that we’ve seen in the rest of the posters from the film so far. Admittedly, it’s a moody interpretation of Darkseid’s original, cosmic character design in the comics from Jack Kirby, but it’s great to see the classic DC villain get the focus next to the rest of the DCEU characters. Take a look at Darkseid in the new Justice League poster below.

Here is the official synopsis for the Zack Snyder cut:

“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut is expected to hit WarnerMedia’s HBO Max on March 18, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Darkseid and the Zack Snyder Cut, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
