Here’s How Dave Bautista Could Look As Kratos For A God Of War Film

Drax the Destroyer himself Dave Bautista gets imagined as God Of War‘s Kratos for a potential live-action film based on the popular videogame franchise.

It’s not easy to find a better pick to play God Of War‘s Kratos in Hollywood than Guardians of the Galaxy strongman Dave Bautista. He even looks like Kratos, barring the white skin, the long and incredibly neat beard, and the awe-inspiring blood lust for revenge. Well, digital Instagram artist Salman Artworks did a great job imagining Dave Bautista as the god of war himself in this awesome fan art depiction:

Steven DeKnight, Daredevil season one showrunner, and Pacific Rim: Uprising director, has expressed his interest in directing a live-action version of God Of War after declaring himself a big fan of the videogame series. He’s even talked about casting Dave Bautista for the role after meeting with Sony PlayStation to entertain the possibility of a film in the future.

For those of you unfamiliar with the series, God Of War follows the story of Kratos, a spartan warrior who made a pact with the Greek god of war, Ares. Before being killed off by an enemy, Ares gave Kratos the power of the Blades of Chaos to vanquish almost anyone who stood in his way in the name of the gods. After finding out that Ares lied to him, leading him to kill his own wife and daughter, Kratos went on a rampage to enact revenge on all of Olympus. After finding out that Zeus himself was his father and wanted to kill him as well, Kratos ends up butchering him and fleeing to the Nordic region. The most recent iteration of the God Of War franchise pits Kratos against Norse foes while he journeys to spread his late new wife’s ashes with his son, Atreus.
